Occupational accidents are symptoms of weak safety commitment, as most of the accidents could be prevented. The main objective of this study were to compare the safety commitment in the production companies regarding their age and size. This study conducted in the Basic metal industries, metal products, electric and non- electric machinery in the Guilan Province. This group of industries was chosen because of the higher accident rates recorded amongst the industries in Iran. A total of 20 companies participated in the survey. The companies were chosen based on their age and size. The method used in this study was a questionnaires quantitative type based on a Lickert scale and the data collected were analyzed statistically. The results of the study showed that the management commitment to safety was not strong based on the mean for average score of 2.50 which was less than 3 compared to the possible maximum of 5. This study consisted of two hypotheses. The hypotheses were proposed to investigate the difference among safety commitment based on company age and size. One-way ANOVA analysis revealed that there was a significant difference among safety commitment. The results showed that new companies had stronger safety commitment compared to other companies, and large companies had stronger safety commitment compared to other companies. The findings showed that two hypotheses of this study are acceptable. تعهد ایمنی به میزانی که منابع انسانی سازمان، ایمنی را به عنوان یک ارزشی اصلی تعریف ¬کنند اطلاق می گردد. ضعف تعهد ایمنی از جمله دلایل بروز حوادث شغلی محسوب می شود، که با رفع آن می¬توان تا حد قابل توجهی از بروز حوادث شغلی پیشگیری نمود. هدف اصلی این مطالعه مقایسه تعهد ایمنی در شرکتهای تولیدی با توجه به قدمت و اندازه آنها است. این مطالعه در گروه صنایع فلزات اساسی، محصولات فلزی‌، ماشین‌های‌الکتریکی و غیرالکتریکی در استان گیلان انجام شده است. علت انتخاب این گروه از صنایع، بالاتر بودن نرخ افراد حادثه دیده درمقایسه با سایر صنایع در ایران بوده است. 20 شرکت در این مطالعه مشارکت کردند. شرکت های منتخب جامعه آماری براساس قدمت و اندازه آنها انتخاب شدند. روش به کار رفته در این مطالعه جهت جمع آوری اطلاعات، روش کمّی پرسشنامه¬ای مبتنی بر طیف لیکرت بود و داده¬های جمع¬آوری شده بصورت آماری آنالیز شدند. میانگین امتیاز کسب شده تعهد ایمنی 50/2 (کمتر از حد متوسط 3 ) بود که بیانگر قوی نبودن آن است. این مطالعه شامل دو فرضیه بوده است. تحلیل واریانس یک طرفه نشان داد که تفاوت معناداری بین تعهد ایمنی در شرکت ها با توجه به قدمت و اندازه شرکت ها وجود دارد. همچنین در این رابطه نتایج نشان داد که تعهد ایمنی در شرکت های جدید (آنهایی که کمترین قدمت را داشتند) و نیز در شرکت های بزرگ (آنهایی که بزرگترین اندازه را داشتند) در مقایسه با سایر شرکت ها قوی تر بود. /downloadfilepdf/511478
